Hello Everyone, I've been the proud owner of my 1978 Country Squire for a few years now. I am fortunate to also have a few other fun cars, but for pure relaxing, luxury, comfortable driving, especially road trips, nothing rivals the old Squire. Other than the rims and the addition of a duel exhaust stystem, the wagon is stock with original paint everywhere but the lower rocker panels. It also has the rear facing jump seats, which my 13 year old son still enjoys and has made his domain since purchasing the car. The car has just over 80,000 miles on it and we've taken it on several road trips from NJ to DC, NC, Buffalo, Maine and most notably last summer my son and I did 1/2 of RT 66 (NJ - Chicago to OK/ TX border). The wagon ran like a champ and never missed a beat through all kinds weather from torrential rains from NJ - Indiana, to 90+ temps from Missouri to OK. These cars were designed to be driven and I wouldn't hesitate driving this CS anywhere. The this summer, the plan is to complete our RT 66 journey; NJ to TX, then TX RT 66 - CA, then home again! Happy Driving! Eric
