Hi folks, Just signed up. I am the owner of a 1963 Buick Special wagon. it has progressed from trailer trash...was on my car trailer for a while until I got a gargage. Now it's trying to be a garage potato. I bought it as a replacement for the '64 Special wagon that I lost in a garage fire. it broke my heart. Since this wagon has a clutch peddle...it will get an upgraded 300 V8 from the 215 and a T5 5 speed. After all My furkids want a cool ride to cruise in. My name is Bruce.
Hi Bruce, so sorry to hear about the fire what a targic end for your beloved wagon. But you've got a new one and a new garage by the sounds of it, so moving on! What the plans...if any? What's she/he look like? We could even have a look at your furkids if you like. aboard hope to see you around the joint.
flaash57 We like Buicks, furry kids, even bald ones, and other station wagons. We also like pictures or we may not believe your story!
to the wagon train, flaash. I love those early 60's Buick Special wagons. I had a convertible...62 or 63...don't remember. Sorry about your other wagon but I'm happy that you have a new one and are working on it. It will be an interesting ride with your plans in place!
Welcome to the forum Bruce!! Too bad about the garage fire, glad to hear you are going to bring her back to life.
Welcome to the madness Bruce! 63 Special wagon....that's awesome, I don't think we have any other members with one of those? I remember those well, I learned to drive in my ma's 63 F85 wagon and some neighbors had a 62 Special wagon, there's was a V6 though. Post up a few dozen when you get a minute. No chance you'll keep the original 215 V8? I'm thinking parts may still be readily available since Rover kept it in production for a long time?
Welcome to the forum, Bruce. I'm 'just over the hill' to your west..... Travel on occasion for work to Redmond, Bend and beyond. Having owned a '63 Olds F-85 Cutlass as my first car back in 1969, I've got some familiarity with those aluminum 215's. Is yours shot, or do you just want a bit more power? Feel free to join in with our discussions! Marshall
