    Hi all,

I thought I'd chime in... and share pictures of my ride. I am also an MGB owner and enthusiast, so keeping both of these old cars running will be interesting.

1985 Ford Country Squire, 182,000 km, I'm the third owner, only winter driven during its 1st two years. I plan on sprucing it up.

I've been enjoying what my wife refers to as 'station wagon porn' on here. Looking forward to learning more about the wagons.

Welcome aboard. That is a very nice looking wagon. I used to have an MG and many Triumphs back in the day. They are a lot of fun. Enjoy the wagon, it looks fantastic!

Thanks all - I guess I've been surfing this site more looking at photos, reading stories and technical issues... I never noticed the Intro section. Will post there and thanks for the kind welcome.

Yes, station wagon porn... I can be caught in the middle of the night perusing through Flickr and Pinterest looking at station wagons. I may have a problem.

My wife always says she never worries about me because if I am ever looking at anything on the computer, it is always pictures of cars. She calls it my "porn", as well. :D

I know you posted in the Welcome Wagon section, but I'll say it here, just the same...

    :Welcome: aboard.

BTW, I love the Country Squire. (y) Has just about all the goodies, but still has cloth seats. I love the cloth seats...don't like leather.

It's a 302 carburated... love the sound of that engine, my first car was a 73 Gran Torino with a 302, loved it then.

Welcome! That is a beauty! Does she still have the original VV carb, or has it been converted? There is LOTS of potential in that for both fuel economy and performance! Oh, and at under 200,000 kms, she still, in my family, a NEW car! We normally go almost a million on them, and I know one person coming up to 1.5 million kms.

Sorry Mike, I didn't see your post. Everything is original in this car, including the carb. Oddly enough, one quick turn of the key, no gas pedal, and she starts right up. So far, I am happy with her and looking forward to slowly bringing her back to showroom condition.

This forum is amazing and rich with information.

Yes, at 920,000 miles the speedo still works. EVERYTHING still works, right down to the factory installed, never removed AOD transmission! And people say they don't last! Laughing hysterically at that one!
