My buddy who has been storing my wagon for me until he has a chance to bring it to me has run out of floor space. My wagon is now stored up on a lift and my buddy's GTX convertible parks underneath. At least its still inside. (I just like this picture and wanted to share it.) Edit: Sorry everyone. I can't seem to get the picture to post ( although I can see it fine). I would delete the post but its already had replies.
Yup, red X. At least your wagon is on top, who knows what mess could happen to it if it was under...under a leaking oil car..?
That's where my Polara lives as well. And being that yours is also a Mopar I will say that you probably have some sort of tranny leak (usually around the linkage pivots) and maybe a leaky pinion seal. I know mine did and didn't know how bad it was until I put another car underneath. On the plus side, I guess the race car roof will never rust. You'll have to go to the blog to see the pics. I'm just not that savvy when it comes to shuffling images. http://wagonsofsteelnorth.blogspot.ca/
I feel pretty lucky. I have alot of great friends. All of them share my love of Mopars. I can tell you that over the decades, the friends that have lasted, and who have really been there for each other, have always been the friends who are into old cars. It feels like family and most of my closest friends have been close friends for more than 25 years. Rich, my friend who is storing the car for me, is the brother of another friend. He's never lived outside of Massachusettes, and I've always lived in Virginia. While I only see Rich two or three times a year, it was only with his help that I was able to get the wagon I had searched for. He inspected it for me, completed the purchase, picked it up and stored it for me. He will do some minor work on it as well before bringing it to Virginia on his trailer the next time he comes down here.
I remember that story, cuda. It's great to have good friends and it has always seemed to me that car guys are like friendly magnets that are drawn to each other in a common bond. Since I have been on this forum it seems wagon guys bond even more closely.
I originally put maggot in my post....when I hit spell checker it said Dennis (CatModetT) so I thought it was wrong.
