Tedy - I notice on UsedVic another truck, I think a '63?? for serious bucks. Make sure you ask enough - and a thought - you could say that you would consider an older station wagon in part payment. Who knows what might come your way??

I notice a nice later 60's Ford wagon on the same classified section (specialty vehicles). I love looking at UsedVictoria.com for strange stuff. There are some "unique" people living on the Island.

Sale pending, took a non refundable $200 cash deposit. Ballance of $1300 cash to be paid tommorow by midnite or I keep the deposit.

We wrote up a contract about this and had my honey sign as a witness.

Young guy, I even told him "no presure", think about it but he wanted it and said he can't get the full amount out of the bank as it's Sunday.

I took $1500 and I'm keeping the new tires/wheels and the brand freeken new interstate battery. Buyer will be bringing his own. Nice young kid, wants to V8 it and get rid of the 3 on the tree. Not how I wanted to sell the old girl but....... The colum shift scared him so much tommorow he'll buy a day permit and I'm gona have one last drive bringing it to his house. He asked if I would drive it with his plates but I had to say no just because if anything happened.

Was a bit of :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:shortly after the kid got here..... Nice young kid, got tattos, trying to act cool and then.... The Bikers showed up, 3 real nice guys but you could tell they were the real thing. I thought the kid was gona piss his pants!:yup::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2: They just came by to look not buy and we had a good BS section talking old trucks, all of them were real nice guys. Scared the sh** out of the kid though, had to calm him down after they left, he was scared. I even told him, don't judge a book by the cover.

So it's almost sold, no ca$h tommorow, no truck. Sold for less than I would have liked but it's a fast sale witch is what I was after and I keep new tires and battery. And if he does'nt come back, screw him.

I'll be snaping some last time pics today and posting them up.......as I cry like a little girl:(

Tedy I am glad you sold your truck. Sounds like the young man that bought it plans to keep it in great shape while making it his own.

Well he showed up as promiced with the rest of the cash, paid me and I took her on the last drive to his house. Young guy has a pritty nice "first shop", small one bay garage but has tools and some pritty cool stuff. Wierd part is, the kid lives no more than a 1/4 mile from where I bout the truck just on the other side of the highway. The 3 on the tree just baffles him, scares the crap out of him for some reason..... I'm sure y his talk a auto trans will go in there.

Yesterday after our deal was made I honestly could have sold it for my asking price and I even had the cash waved infront of my face but I chose the karma route., told the guy just watch the ad and if the kid did'nt pay today it would be back up for sale Tuesday.

Worked out well IMO, I wanted a fast sale and got it. Although many won't aprove, the Buick has new tires on it now..... Goodyear Wrangler radials, I'm ready for winter, gravel, etc now:D and I have some cash to try and fix the electrical gremlin in it.

Also with work being slow and $ we are gona dump into the house AGAIN this summer, it looked like a wagon less summer insurance wise. Well I just insured the 83 Crewzer for 6 months:dance:, and I have a brand new interstate battery as a spare.....and cash left over as I mentioned:2_thumbs_up_-_anima

So here are the last pics from yesterday before I swaped tires.....

My criters as the lived in the grill....

The only cancer on the whole truck, the bottom of the drivers fender and it's just the fender....

The cocpit, seat if full of several misc extra parts I coleceted but never istalled, cab rear view mirror, GM cleanex box, tec... Only thin missing on the truck was the one windshied wiper, I borrowed the passenger side one for the drivers....

Notice the glass door handle shifter and glass drawer button on the glove box...

Origonal wood floor, the dents and scratches can be blamed on me, I used it as a truck. I kept the job box...

Could I have gotton more $, maybe, maybe not. I based my price on all trucks for sale in the general year/condition for sale local and priced mine in that same ball park. I sold mine rite now, others havehad there trucks up for sale for months. It's a island thing, things just don't sell compared to dry land sales.

Yup, I miss it, but it had to be done:cry:

But with me, and how I like animals... I went to my barn to pick up the extra fenders for the truck and found out the old girl passed away. She was a beautiful horse and so very friendly, would run to you like a dog.....
shortly after I bout the truck....
