Oh.....I decided that I'm giving a wagon to Cyber-Wizard. Oh, and Steve-E-D, too. Those 2 guys have been real nice to me. Unlike some others around here that I won't even mention. Just let me know what wagon you want, guys.
Since I am apparently among the unmentionables, I will now resort to begging. Hint, foxy see 42 Mercury woody post. Until further notice I will be sleeping and dreaming about my new 1942 Mercury woody. You are my bestest pal foxy!
Oh no! Don't do that!!!! The '66 wagon in that color with the 396 was my grandparents' car, which my dad bought and it was his first car. My second pick would be a 77 LTD Wagon in brown, with the 400. That was our car when I was a kid.
I'm sure there are lots of other 1942 Mercury woodys out there. maybe even in better condition. I'll take one of any color, buddy, ole pal, bestest friend.
Well, I checked my numbers last night and this is the sound that went through my head afterwards http://www.losinghorns.com/
Too late 1tireman, silverfox is just another loser. I still like him but he never was my bestest buddy, pal, or friend. But all of that could change if that 1942 Mercury woody showed up in my drive way. Or even his plain ole SS Impala wagon without the fancy woodgrain. I can be bought!
I'd take this '65 Comet Wagon on eBay right now. Thing looks sooo clean! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/?cmd...49&item=160770852465&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Yeah....I've been looking at that Comet for quite awhile now. Of course, the photography is excellent, too, with the entire background the same basic color as the car. It's been on and off a few times. I like the car, too.
It makes me want a Comet Wagon something fierce!!! What price has it been going for...I see it's up over 8k now and reserve still isn't met. With it looking like a full restore on it I would imagine they are wanting something close to 20k.
I have no idea....I don't remember what it got to last time...more than 8K, though, IIRC. I guess I'll put it on my watch list this time. I'm thinking they will want crazy money for it, but, you never know. Sure is a gorgeous car.
