Well....now that you asked.... I think your car is a beautiful example of the original Eagle. To destroy the originality of the car's continued survival in its pristine state would, to me, be doing the car a huge injustice. After 29 years it is still in near showroom condition. Itching to do something to your nice car? Keep it running smoothly with original AMC parts and keep it clean and shiny for another 29 years. As for the exterior cosmetics of this beauty.....well, IMHO.....less is more.
Yeah, at times I wish I didn't find such a pristine example of an Eagle. I feel bad even driving the thing in the rain, but when you think about it these vehicles were built for rain, snow, mud! Maybe it I keep it for another 29 years I can start customizing it a bit.
I'm open to offers, but I did probably pay too much for it and I wouldn't sell it now without making a profit!
I rarely get confused. But now I'm confused. I like the planned modifications, but I also believe it looks great stock and clean. If this were mine I'd still be confused. What to do? The only way out is give that one to someone else---me for example---then buy another in not as good condition to modify. Altho those modifications are only temporary and cosmetic so it can always be changed back. What to do?:confused::confused::confused:
Yeah, I'm trying to think of a way to mount the guard in a way that would be more temporary. It is gonna require some welding behind the bumper, but I'd need to design some like removable brackets that came out on top and below the bumper...I wouldn't want the brackets always hanging there if the guard wasn't installed.
