You bet! In Texas, with a car this big, and all this glass, you NEED it. It's one of my main complaints with my Roady and a big reason wagons never sold well here after rear a/c minivans and SUV's came out. In the summer, in the front seat you're ok, middle row is warm, back seat is HOT. Window tint helps a bit but still it never really cools down in the very rear. I've thought about putting a conversion van evaprator in the side storage pocket and adding vents to the side cargo panel back there. Just tap into the front a/c. We did that on a ton of vans and buses when I worked at the a/c shop. Very possible! If we have another summer like 2011 I may just do it! -Mike
Yeah...I guess a family makes a difference. I have it in my 91 Burb but it's never used and is a pain if you have problems with it. I've had other cars with it and never used it in those either. However, I am usually the only one in my car. I do remember living in Naples, FL and I was trying to find a noise in my 82 Buick wagon so I had another guy drive and I got in the way back to listen for the noise.....I have to say.....it was HOT back there while it was comfy in the front.
