Hi, I'm Kelly Brickey and Butch is my 1963 Studebaker Wagonaire. I bought him in 1996 and he's always been a driver. 259 v-8, 3 speed on the tree, overdrive, 3.31 twin-traction rear. I've installed dual exhausts, an aluminum Avanti timing gear ( allegedly, fiber gears can shred) Edelbrock 500 cfm 4 bbl modified original distributor with Mopar innards and GM HEI module. He's currently getting new paint, and I can't wait for the next cross-country road trip! Here's a youtube link, mid-project: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOgZPkZ5XVw&context=C3849bc7ADOEgsToPDskJAC1Hh3AJiV6GI-qYqmHtT
Welcome from a fellow new guy, Kelly. That's a cool wagon. Looking forward to seeing recent pics. That vid's about a couple years old so I'll bet there's been quite a transformation since then.
to the wagon train, kelly. Nice wagon and it sounds good too! Hey....Butch is looking better all the time! Glad to have you and Butch join us.
wagonairedriver glad you joined us. Always ready to see and hear stories about Studebaker wagons. Hope you and Butch like it here.
Welcome to the madness! That's a great looking Studebaker! Engine color? Those valve covers were gold from the factory?
I like these sliding roof Studebakers. I know we have a few members here that own them, but I've only seen one or two at car shows over the years.
