I'm not a sports fan but people also think I'm looney when I tell them every time I watch a game our home team loses.
It's quite the phenomenom.
I try not to look at a TV screen or listen to radio during super bowls or world series because the moment I start to watch is the moment the team screws up bad. This last super bowl it happened again, I was in my car and when I changed the radio station I happened upon the game and I knew I should not listen because I knew Pats were up 2 points but I couldnt resist to listen in., and sure enough, they blew an easy win. My Dad is the only one that really knows this phenomenom from seeing me do this., and lately I have exposed it to a friend. He sees it too and wasn't happy when the Pats lost the Super Bowl. Although I know I don't cause games to lose, this happens 100% of the time for the past 15 years. As soon as I start to watch a game that should become a clear win, the game goes sour.
PS I can't make it happen it has to be genuine curiosity of the game.
Its like the Bugs Bunny frog that shuts up when you try to show people it sings.
Lucky for Boston fans I dont care for sports.

EXACT same here !!
Stovebolt wont even tell me when they are all getting together to watch HOCKEY...not that i really care ....Hockey Shlockey!!!
(can ya tell i dont like it anyhow)
But every time i do watch it ....the Canucks get slaughtered
