NOTE: This is not my car, nor do I know the seller. I'm merely sharing an ad that I found online.

I thought that I had posted this one before but apparently I didn't. This guy has been trying to sell this wagon for weeks now. The price has been getting steadily lower as he has another vehicle on the way. Yesterday he hit $750 saying he wanted it gone by Saturday(today). This morning he dropped it to $650. It seems likely that it's in rough shape but there's probably a lot of good parts in there for someone who needs them.

WHY! OH WHY! Does this has to happen 17 days before I get home and be in Canada? Why cant this be in Buffalo and wait 17 days? I dont care if it has rust, if it runs its worth that in motor and tranny alone, then the price of scrap, this is a $1200 car parted out, EASY!

There have been several like this turn up in my area lately. I wish I had a chunk of property to store them and part them out or even just hold them for other members.

Cyber, what is it like to buy a car across the border and bring it back? I know its probably different for you then it would be for me, but do you know anyone who has done it?

I know several who've done it, but strangely, I've never talked to them about the details of it. I've heard that it's not too difficult.

A thread was started a while back specifically on bringing cars from Canada into the US. Looks like it's not too bad in either direction apart from all the paperwork, and that weird U.S. rule about cleaning the undercarriage to clean off the Canadians from under the car.

Thanks Cyber, I will give her a once over.

Thats funny about cleaning the Canadians from the under carriage, I don't think we have much of an issue smuggling in you Canuks as we do Mexicans :rofl2:

Yeah, we complain a lot, but in the end none of us are willing to give up our free healthcare. I will confess to making frequent trips to Buffalo for a trunkload of potato chips. You guys get a lot of cool snacks that never make it to Canada so if the US ever runs out of potato chips you'll know of at least one Canadian to blame.

We don't get a great deal of variety here. It's mostly Lays and a few small micro-fryeries. There's a Frito Lay plant in the next town over. My office used to be a few blocks from there so I could go outside and stand around smelling the parking lot in the afternoons. Now I have to make a special trip.

Gibbels is a new one on me. I used to be a huge fan of Hostess Smokey Bacon. Hostess stopped making those not too long after they stopped making Cherry and Grape (dunno what they were thinking with those). Since Lays bought Hostess, I can only get Lays Smokey Bacon and they just arent the same. These days I wind up noshing primarily on Lays Ruffles and even those I just eat plain since Philadelphia stopped making their Cheddar & Bacon chip dip. Such is the life of the hardcore snacker.

Those were two separate statements. He's wanting to know why the wagon had to become available 17 days before he returns from the Phillipines and why it has to be in Canada.

    (y)Okie-doke!

On topic- the mileage on this car probably means the engine is done and due for a rebuild/replacement, along with all the suspension and steering parts.

Yep, he wanted it gone on Saturday. For $650, I bet it was gone in no time. Kijiji is really quick to take pics down when an ad is gone.
