Made me laugh out loud! Too much of his DNA is all over that car...

 

I think he really didn't swap in a 15hp B&S. I do however believe the ad is chock full of B&S. And with no oil pressure I'm sure the 1.6 is putting out about 15hp.

 

That would be a 1.8 occu.

 

Well then he might be pushing 20hp and not even know it. Get that car on a dyno, stat! Start me a drip of E85 and ready the jumper cables, this one ain't a donor yet!

I could have done without knowing all of that, but it beats the ad that just has a phone number, or worse- just says Car for sale without make/model with the number.

 

Reminds me of a true story, Bird. I lived in Naples, FL for awhile and there was an ad in the paper....said, Chevy for sale. $500. I was wheeling and dealing in cars at the time and, being in Naples where there were a lot of oldsters with beautiful low mile cars, I almost went to look. A friend of mine did go. He tells me the story....old lady comes out, says the car's in the garage...opens up the garage and there sits a 60 Vette. Restored. Cherry. My friend says....so where's the car? She says...are you blind? It's sitting right in front of you. Friend says....lady...you can't sell this car for $500. She says , do you want it or not? I spent twenty years being ignored since my husband got this car and I'm sick of the sight of it! He spent more time in the garage than he did in the house! Well, he died and now I'm getting rid of it! Friend bought it. I still kick myself for not playing my original hunch and gone to look. The car was drop dead gorgeous. True story.

 

You win with that point. I'll keep that in mind in the future for sure!
The ad on Craigslist for my newest wagon was lousy, it was on there for over a month before I acted on it and I am very glad I did. Very few other people had either due to lack of description.
But nothing even as remotely as awesome as that!
