Saw these photos and it reminded me that one of the things I have been wanting to do with my wagon was to display it at a car show with a large diorama of 1/18 scale diecast cars in the back.

This 70 Country Sedan wagon owner displays his Lionel trains on an operating layout in the back.

I have also seen a blue 67 Fury wagon at a car show with an operating slot car layout in the back.

Though I don't have a photo to prove it, this 67 Fury wagon (with the very cool cross ram intake under the hood) has been displayed at the Mopar Nationals with an operating slot car layout in the back.

You're right about taking your hobbies with you - I bought my wagon so I could drive a cool old car and take my dogs with me for the ride!

Looks like a cool setup with the "O" gauge! Would like to see more pics of that Country Sedan in 70's green, it looks to be really clean and original.

My wagon was always used to transport Lionel trains. We were a service station for 41 years (until lionel screwed us), and we actually built a display layout for the shows designed perfectly to the dimensions of the car, so we could pack it in there easily.

My Dad's '59 Black Squire was instrumental in learning the 'ins + outs' of my all-time favorite hobby, at the local drive-in!!!
'65 2-dr Chevelle Wagon did pretty well too, once I had a 4" custom pad made for it!
Spent a couple weekends at 'Da Grove'!!

Mine is known for often times being filled to the roof with antiques. I'm always buying and selling.

This was one of the reasons I bought my Buick. I want a car I can show along with my art work at the car shows in warm weather. I wanted something older, a car that gave me street cred as a serious car guy but when this car showed up with such a great price on it
and, more importantly, my wife, Jennifer, didn't even blink at me buying it, well, you know how that turns out. The fact that my son fell for it and has ended up driving it, winter, spring, summer& fall, has been the next unexpected surprise.
(full disclusure, I'm pretty sure Jennifer went soft abut the car because of the one that got away in LA and because she never got over feeling bad when she sold my '88 Caprice to the neighbor's kid. Bout that 'cherry' Caprice for $250 when I moved to Nebr.
it was in very good condition but the kid blew it up about a month later. I was still trying to buy it back. At least I made $250 on the deal...)

    Thw War Wagon...

Always loved Wagons...Always hated mini Vans...
Went to small wagons when I started reenacting...
Small wagon with a manual shifter made the commutes to NC/VA?PA/TN affordable. Back seat folds down, muskets sleeping bags clothes inside. Tent poles, tentage & Camp Chairs on the roof...
Me & My son in the front seats...

I don't have pics of them in my wagon(but have some with my old Aerostar), but I am big into Hobby Grade Nitro and Electric RC Cars and Trucks and manage a RC Club that the members would come down to a meetup at my place in South Western NY. They would come from Buffalo, NY Area, Erie, PA; Jamestown, NY; Cleveland, OH Area; Pittsburgh, PA Area(One summer a husband and wife drove all the way from Edmonton, AB Canada) and some neighboring areas. They would pile in my buddies Grand Caravan and my Roadie would be loaded up with toolboxes, parts, anywhere from 10 to 30 RC's and the radios(depending on how many guys showed and what all they brought with them) and we would go hit some bashing spots. We would make a full day of running our stuff and having a great time. I wish I would have gotten pics, they cars and trucks would be stacked up like cord wood.

All of these were loaded in my Roadie and transported to Concord, NY, 2 hours away for a district rock crawling competition, where I took 3rd place with the pink/purple/black camo'd rock crawler in the front left of the picture. My son rode with me, the rest in my buddies Caravan.

This was a meet with my friends that drove the 59 straight hours from Edmonton, AB Canada to spend 3 weeks visiting and playing.

You can see my van in this pic
