What have I done to my '68 Falcon Futura SW ???

I just finished the installation of an after market AC system. The system I had, I got from Montgomery Wards in June 1968. It was guaranteed for the life of the car. Except that Montgomery Wards was NOT guaranteed for the life of the car. :banghead3:

With the new system you could use my car to hang meat in, it works so good. BUT... I had to increase the size of the fan which is putting an extra drag on the AC belt which is making the belt squeal. I'm going back to the original fan and putting a shroud around it. I hope that cures my problem. :dancing:

My next project is to try and find the parts to fix the rear window. I need the little plastic pieces that the window snaps into, which attaches to the arm that goes up and down. My window is manual. I also need the parts that connect to the outside handle.

One thing at a time, though.

Replaced the hood hinges that were bad... Now open and closes beautifully.

Body work on left side... still much to do.

    Installed a stereo/cd player.

Pulled the wiper motor from the cowl area because someone at one time decided to pull it out and trashed the cowl... sigh. :slap:

I installed the refurbished dash panel in the Bonneville.
It now has a working factory tachometer and working trip odometer, new woodgrain on the dash panel and new trim plate to close out the gaps around the radio.

Still need an emblem to cover the shift indicator opening.

Installed my new/used BF Goodrich white letter tires. After that I de oiled the outside of the car as previous owner drove on fresh oiled road at sometime in its previous life and then buffed the entire car. I will get pictures of it tomorrrow. BIG difference in its appearance

So long as your in the same room as the car and looking at it while enjoying your Bud and so long as you are really thinking about the next step, then sure, it counts.

Well, I didn't do too much today, but I made a list of priorities. What to do next. (Get a patch panel welded where the spare tire well is rusted out, maybe new shocks, replace broken taillight, ponder how cool dual exhaust would be, etc.)

... along with finishing up the dash and steering wheel I'm continuing body work. Slow go, but it'll all be worth it in the end.
