I saw this car in Long Beach over the summer, decided against it. Surprised to find it in Az with a bid of over $6k on ebay. They've painted it and detailed it, but I still wonder about the crunched exhaust system I saw and the speedo stuck at 90 mph. Thought it might indicate a collision of some sort.

Wow! That is the nicest '73 I have ever seen! It's like a time capsule!

The speedo isn't stuck, that's the speed minder, a buzzer for when you go over a pre-set speed.

The pics sure make this wagon look great!

It is indeed very clean and it looks like it's bringing some pretty strong dollars. Did you note it has no 3rd seat? Not a big deal; it just seems to me that most of them had one.

Oops, my bad! Guess I should have yet another cup of coffee! I'm so used to seeing the 3rd seats being rear facing, that when I saw the area where the jack was stowed, I just assumed it didn't have one. Thanks, KK.

I really believe that if you want a nice wagon, than buying one like this is the way to go. Don't bother getting into a restoration when there are so many parts to deal with in getting it factory correct. A restoration would just suck every dime out of ya.

On another note, is the wood trim on the dash real wood? It certainly has the sheen and texture of being real. Also, I noticed the tires don't match. It jumped out at me 'cause I never liked the look of the one inch white wall that's on the front.

I noticed that too, Chris. That's always bothered me big time, if the widths of the white walls don't match. When I was growing up, I never could understand how people could have both whitewalls and blackwalls on the same side of the car because it looked so terrible. If you have two wsw's and two bsw's, at least put them on the same side. Alot of folks back then might have wsw's all around but wouldn't go for the extra $3 to get their snow tires wsw's as well. I remember my father tried to get away with that on his '68 LeSabre but I threw such a huge temper tantrum, he got the whitewalls just to shut me up!

$12,500? Wow! I missed the listing, but saw the one pick of the 3rd row seat. That carpet looks brand new!

That's an impressive price! If I recall, a member from Florida sold his similar condition mid 70's Olds last year for somewhere around $8300.
