    prolly original tires

Just my .02 - my dad had one of these cars and the original tires that came with his were Firestone 500 HR78x14's. How would I know this obscure fact? My dad always wanted to keep original parts on his cars and he was always bitchin' up a storm having a hell of a time finding those tires after awhile cause it was a stupid size for such a big car. I sure hope dad can find his tires up in heaven for his '63 Buick Electra 225! (He always said that was his favorite of all the cars he owned - assuming that's what he's driving up there!)

The listing says the original tires were HR78x14s. He put the 15s on because one of the original tires blew when he tried to blow it up.

It looks legit to me. The dust, rust, and interior damage are all typical of an improperly stored car. Unfortunately, it probably needs a total frame off restoration despite the lack of miles. There is such a thing as a new car hoarder; there's a guy in the Boston area with a warehouse full of 1980s-2000s Caprices and Crown Victorias with less than 100 miles on them.

I just checked my voicemail and there were 2 messages from this guy Mike in the QA section returning my call from over the weekend. I'll try to call him tomorrow and get some detail on the car's history. Only a day and a half left on Ebay and still no bids onit.

20K, huh. Well....the eBay auction ended and the car got zero bids with a starting price of 5K. Funny how some people's dreams become a reality in their own minds.:D

Given the amount of decay from sitting over the years, I don't think the mileage is even relevant anymore. 19 or 190,000, it still looks the same.

good point. In my business I pay more for than condition than low miles.

The mention of mice, in the headliner..... if they were in there, I'm sure they were else where chewing (under dash) and pooping. I'd bet the headliner is a hazmat erea with droppings

Not really that popular of a wagon, anyway. Would have been different if it had been a Squire, for instance.

Even if this was in 'as new' shape, with the 19 miles, I don't think you could have found a buyer at $12k......
