 The Mrs have decided that it would be a good idea getting rid of the volvo.. We had a little talk in the car, driving to stockholm for a dogshow and we agreed that it would be a kind of relief to sell it.. I am thinking of a Caprice / roadmaster / cruiser or maybe even a Durango as replacement she, is thinking of a small paneltruck with double mpg, but i think we can come to a understanding..
Btw, is the durango a suv, or a wagon? I dont really like the term; SUV, makes me think of a toyota rav4 or something like that.....

Yeah, the Durango's an SUV. Sorry. Now, the Magnum; that's a wagon.

I posted an ad on the local advertisin site, Named it ; winter-cleanup-sale

The Nash, Buick, Volvo, and the chevy is mentioned in the ad, i write that everything is for sale, cus we dont have space for everything.. As you all understand, the Estate is really not for sale, so i priced it with like 10000usd, hoping that i will lose everything but that car.. And guess what? I have recieved about 30 mails and as many phone calls, and half of them is interested of the Buick.. This morning someone offered me to trade a -76 Impala Estate for the Nash.. So i just might let the Buick go, if the Impala is as good as he says.. Wonder if the Mrs would like a clamshell of her own:banana:? Maybe i could keep the buick and we be a two-clam-family.. I like the sound of that phrase...

You are in sweden land of the volvo just buy her a newer better wagon.

A turbo with awd should make her happy, think of how much better she could get around in a smaller car.But always remember when moms happy everyones happy!

according to some groups (insurance, registration) the Magnum is an SUV, which alowed the SRT versions to get around the guzzler tax...

Wagon or SUV, we love our Magnum.

I have been looking at two V-70 awd,s.. Actually three, but the one with the noturbo 2.5 is not interesting at all. I really like the TDI 2,5 and i do think it is kind of faster than the T5.. By all means, the diesel is a killer when talking abot mpg, but then you have to take the swedish diesel taxes, ant higher maintenance costs i dont really know if its a good saving driving on diesel today here..
On the other hand, the Opel Combo 1.9stdc (phu) is a quickie too, with lots of room for the dogs, and no need for passengers:dancing: Should look sharp with some 18"s Sharp black, Intercooler kit, a KCR tuning chip and a 3" exhaust.......

The magnum is priced way over our economy, sad to say.. Do you even get the magnums as diesels over there?? I checked one out who had a mercedes turbo diesel in it.. Terrible sight!!

I had the Nash for almost ten years now, had it running once, and disassemled it over the winter, ran it for another summer, and the next winter i had it taken apart and so on.. I have teared it down for about five times now, and i dont really have the motivation to do it again, at least not now. I havent found a garage that will allow me to work on it this winter, and it just cant be done outside. Plus that the car will deteriorate if left outside for a full winter.. I feel that its time to pass the torch on to someone that can and have the facilities to get it on the road for next summer..

BUT! If i dont get the money that i want for it, i will keep it, and find some barn to keep it inside, and maybe i can do it with a new attitude the next spring.. Glad to hear you enjoy it, i need to hear those things somtimes to keep me gouing

no diesel Mags over here, and from what I was told, the ones in Europe were actually Chrysler 300 Wagons/Estates, a Magnum with 300 front fenders, hood and nose. Do you see actual Magnum wagon there?

I think all of the magnums here is Hemis. There are two magnum Hemis in this town that i know of, but i cant really tell the difference between a 300 and a magnum.. They look kind of cool, but as mentioned erlier, i cant afford one, and to be honest, i like the Gm estates more.

Long time - no see.. I really missed you guys, and gals...

We updated our wagonfleet, not with a caprice, but with a Volvo V-70 T-5 awd for the mrs, and i got myself a peugeot 406.

    :29:That pesky 855 is now history:29:

The mighty one is still in buissness cuz i havent found someplace to keep it for the winter, and the chevy shopvan is in the shop due to water leakage..

And on the fun side of our lives, i bought myself a Ford AA -38 that will hopefully keep me busy and healthy this winter..
