CE, does all this old stuff still work? Where do you find it? Buy it at second hand stores? People give it to you?

Some works, some doesn't. What doesn't work, I repair. Everything in the pics does work. I was listening to my Crystal Gayle albums on that hi-fi last night.

I pick it up at antique shops, thrift shops, some's given to me. I've been collecting since I was 5 or 6 years old and never stopped!

I wish that you lived closer and that we knew each other earlier this year. I could have given you an old rotary phone, a few classic cameras, and some other things I can't quite remember all that I once had...

CE, your office is looking pretty cool there, guy. Have fun in it.
KK, you crack me up; I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw CE's screen saver. We never were able to find out the story on those Buicks with the weird body side moldings.

Presently, we don't have any fancy stereo for just music listening, but some day I'd like to buy an old console like that, gut it, then put my choice of components inside......

Awesome set up you have CE. I have the same addiction but most of my stuff is from the late '60s to late '70s. I have a tan rotary phone in my room that I still use.

I appreciate the gesture, regardless! :)

    14 or 15 years if I was 5 or 6 haha!

Thank you! I used only rotary phones up until I moved out of my parents. I never got a landline after that.

It's like stepping into a time warp.

Although I have a little blue record player. One of those De Jay Swinger's and it works like a dream. My kids dance around the house to a record I got for 2 bucks from an estate sale. "Electrifying Hits of the 60's"

I don't even have land line service anymore but I recently purchased a Western Electric rotary wall phone for the kitchen to match the vintage dinette set that used to be my grandmother's.

That looks like a most inviting place. The computer and 2-way are the newest things in there by decades. LOVE it!

Edit:// PLEASE DO post pics of the rest of the place. If it all looks like that...

I'm going to have such a place myself one of these days. I have little interest in anything from this side of 1975 or so, despite being born 10 years later than that. Computers and the turbo RWD Volvos...that's about it.

    That's not a 2-way, that's my police scanner. I'm always in the know ;)

I need to get my lazy butt on taking those pics, but I need the place to be cleaned up a bit, first and that takes us back to the lazy butt thing lol.

I'm also interested in little after 1975 and I was born 15 years after that!

Love the phone and the dining set!
