Parts for a 57 are very availible and cheap. Check out Dancuk's or Classic Industries for parts prices ...... I wouldnt discount it, especially being a two door.

____I realize that 57 Chevy looks rusty and rough. But outwardly nothing more than surface rust where paint is missing. Even new floor panels are available reasonably. Like the 65 Mustang and a few others, you can build a new 55-57 Chevy with available parts. Some models, complete bodies. :yup: I have more stuff than I have time, money, or room for so I suppose my checkbook disappeared for a good reason. ---I'd suggest anyone interested offer $3500 and work slowly up! After all any 1957 Chevy is a collector's item.

There are really quite a few '57 Chevy wagons for sale, all the time - in all condition ranges (and I'm not talking about Nomads..)

IMO, this one is waaaay overpriced. I would put this one near the bottom end of the scale, condition wise. And the fact that it's got a Buick nailhead doesn't really help things. It might as well have no engine. Somebody buying a '57 Chevy will undoubtedly want a Chevy engine in it.

You bring up some pretty good points and yes a SBC would be more desireable than the buick engine which

    * drum roll here* is probably saleable for twice what a complete 350/350 combo can be bought for ... the ratrodders drool over the nailheads.

and as far as being over priced, the purchase will be forgotten well before the grief of NOT buying it has passed if a person really, really wants it.
