Hello, I've a Chevy Caprice wagon. It was bought in Sedalia Missouri 3 years ago. It now has a rusted drivers side floor that needs to be patched up. I also hurt the engine when I drove on a bad fan clutch. It ruined the head gasket. I did get head gasket fixed, but I think they did a poor job. It runs and drives, but needs work. Right now, I'm using it for a storage unit, but I would like to be able to drive it every day again.

Pictures of my 1977 Caprice wagon can be seen here---

My Dad had a red 1977 Chevy Impala wagon when I was a kid. When his Dad died in 1982, my Dad got his light blue 1978 Malibu wagon. My Dad then used the red wagon for his thread business and later on sold it.

Red 1977 Impala wagon----1977-1982---used for family use. 1982---1984 used for work only. Then sold in 1984.

Light blue 1978 Chevy Malibu wagon---1982-1985. Used it for family, then sold it to our maid. We bought a 1986 Voyager(yucky!!)

That is my introduction. I am new here. You can also find my contact information on dereksbikes.webs.com. There are many pictures of my 1977 Caprice wagon and also my blue 1977 Jeep Wagoneer.

Thanks and hope to be a frequent visitor here.

I like the old bikes on your website. (I like the car, too!) I have a Raleigh Supercourse that I bought new in 1973 when I was 16 years old using money I earned delivering newspapers. I still remember my dad taking me down to the bike shop to spend the money ($167) after I had carefully saved up to buy it. I still have not only the bike, which still works fine, but I also have the original purchase receipt from the bike store I bought it from in Rochester, New York. The store went out of business long ago.

Thank you. That red wagon has been parked all this time. I keep telling myself that I want to fix it up. Now, I am thinking of getting married. I cannot keep the car. It's up for sale. Yeah, and you can buy any bikes I have for sale :)

Welcome Red. Don't get rid of the Caprice. You know you want to get er up and running again. Just find the time and go for it. It'd make a great hobby and you'd have a gorgeous long roof when you're done.

Welcome aboard! That wagon is sweet- it looks like the one I used to be picked up in for an afterschool program in 1985, right down to the color. So, you're getting married- how does she feel about the car? I'm fortunate that my wife encourages me to own mine.

    Welcome to the forums!

When I was at Western IL University there was a '77 or '78 Impala base wagon, no lower chrome like yours. Some 21-22ish had it. Slowly it seemed to be let to go to shame.

So your thinging about getting married does that mean you have to give up your stuff? How does your other half feel about your wagon? Is she getting rid of stuff too?

    Was that to personal? ;)

Great cars I drive my 77 Impala more then my other wagons so I would have to recommend you fix it or at least keep it safe until you have time.
