Nice wagon and it looks to be in excellent shape. I love the Olds wheels.

I'd jump on it, if I was you Tedy, if he will drop the price about $4,000!

    That's true, CE. Pricey, though.
The last nice one of these I saw was posted by Cyber-Wiz and it was in Guelph(sp). It was $5000. This guy must have seen that ad.:yup: Looks like the Candians are getting as greedy as we Americans!:biglaugh:
This is the firt time I have seen those wheels on an Olds with the Olds badge. I see them and had them on Buick Electra's with the Buick badge.

Every time I see a car advertised as "brake lines replaced", that means that the bottom of the car has rust in it, and / or the previous owner never did any brake fluid maintenance. Brake lines rust from the inside if you don't change brake fluid on a periodic basis, and they rust from the outside if the car is in a area that uses salt on the roads in the winter. The only other cars that I have seen with rust problems that are similar are those that live by the ocean and are subjected to the salt water spray.

That's a fact.(y) I have a friend that is an ace car builder and has a car repair shop. I drop down all the time to hang around. We have been friends for 30 years or more. We live in Wisconsin where the salt devil lives and thrives every winter. I swear...every time I go down to his shop he is either replacing rusted through brake lines or has one or two cars waiting to have it done. I'm on the same page, Junk...every time I see a car advertised that says the brake lines have been replaced and it is from salt country....I move on.:yup:

Well, no signs of rust in the pics the seller included anyway.

Low mileage too. That's 45,000 kilometers, not miles!

    45,000 km = 27,962 miles.

So the car did, what, 1333 miles per year? Possible I suppose. But what I see happening today that NEVER happened years ago is that people are stating what's on the odometer as miles traveled and getting away with it. Not saying that is the case here, not enough pix for one thing. But I sure am seeing a LOT of cars that have been traveling less than 2000 miles per year lately. A LOT of them. They are all over CL & eBay. I have seen people that bought cars show them and state that they have 40 or 50 thousand miles on them and you can see from here that they have considerably more...like a 100K more. Again, not saying that this owner is stating odometer miles. I'm just always suspicious of cars that, supposedly, have such low mileage. When I was in the car business I would have people show me cars and they would tell me that the car had 46K on it. I mean...if you were a car guy at ALL you could see that it had tons more miles from 30 yards. You know....it's a real FIND to spot a car with 28,000 that's 21 years old. Now days I'm seeing them all over the place.

Well, I have discovered that many cars with low mileage have sat for some time. So the miles are not spread out evenly over the cars total years.

That 1990 Olds may have been bought as a retirement car, driven lightly and then the owner got too old to drive it or died. Then the car sat for years in the garage. That would also explain why a brake line may have rusted. From moisture in the brake lines and lack of use, not road salt.

I make no accusations about the car you posted, Mopy, and I stated that twice in my previous post. I only make these comments to forewarn people that not all things that some sellers say are true. Due diligence should always be taken with a hands on inspection. It's nearly impossible to tell what the shape a car is in from online pix and quite easy in person. Again, for the third time, I am not saying anything about the car posted. I am simply trying to help any of our wagon family members that are in the market to buy a car. The scenario you have presented may be what happened to some cars. There are, however, hundreds of other scenarios. Personally, I rarely believe the mileage on a car that is old if it is presented as extremely low. At least, until I see it in person. Extremely low mileage cars were once an unusual find. I will say again that, now days, they seem to be everywhere. Often, they are for sale by a curbstoner that "just bought it from an old man's estate". Just too many of these low mile cars out there for me to believe all of them. This Olds could very well be one of the rare low milers. I don't know until I look.
