Hello everyone, new at this site. I am in a position to where I can obtain a 68(?) white Falcon Station Wagon at an extreme discounted price. I do not want to give out to many details as to who it belongs to or what part of the country it is for several reasons: What I will mention is that the car belongs to an aquitance of mine family member who would would drive around town only. Has kept all maintance records of it. Has all the trim to it including the hub caps. No body damage, no rust. Upholstery is in good shape except for the head liner that has come lose. 4 speed on the column with a straight 6 2 barrel carb. If I remember correctly, the odometer had less than 80,000 on it. What is the dicounted price of the lost gem. $600.00 and we think ____? (him, she, her, them, they) will take 400 to get it out of their sight because they have not used it for over a year. What I plan to do is restore back to stock except under the hood(?). I may go with a small performance V8 along with a floor stick trany and rear end if posible. Not sure yet? See I just finished restoring a 3rd generation camaro, performance engine and all wanted to take a finacial break but for 4~6 hundred... Take any suggestions, coments, or advice on the Falcon. No not for resale. Once the deal is finalized and title in hand, I will post pics.
Thor if you dont go get it....i will hunt you down and beat you with a Ford shop manual... Ive got 4 myself...so...i may be a lil biased ..... if you count reverse........ i just talked to a fella a couple weeks back...that swore up an down he had a 4 sp /column shift in a 65 Falcon....still waiting for that apology Thor...it may have been special ordered with it....but in all my years of behaving like a falcon idiot....and about 60 of them in my dusty past.. ..ive never seen one with a column 4sp....but i look forward to being wrong.......................
Thor, sounds like a no brainer. Grab that Falcon before somebody else does. Looking forward to seeing some pictures. The only column 4 spd I've ever heard of was in the early 60's Saabs.
