OK, another newbie to the forums but not the cars... I bought my 1958 Ford sedan delivery in 1984 after owning and selling 2 1957 Rancheros. It was my 'daily driver' for the next 10 years, then parked it when I bought a 1969 Cougar XR-7 (another story for another forum). I had the delivery mildly customized and painted in 1987 but it had to sit outside where the weather got to the clearcoat and damaged the graphics. It's currently safe in a heated/air-conditioned garage until I have enough money to get it back in driveable shape. I will post a picture of it from its better years later. I have both a 1958 Ford factory Shop Manual and a 1949-1959 Ford counter Parts Catalog. anyone with a '50's Ford wagon is welcome to e-mail me about repairs or part numbers and I'll help them if I can. My other vice is model cars - I've been building them for over half a century now (yes, I'm officially an old fart...)
to the wagon train, indy. Anxious to see that 58 Delivery! Hey....we usually don't let old guys in here but we will make an exception in your case! Thanks for the offer to let the Ford guys use your Manuals.
Welcome aboard dave you old fart... YEAH YOUR THE ONLY OLD FART ON THIS FORUM... Get those pics on here.
Thank you all... for the warm welcome. All the photos I have of the delivery when it was in its best shape are pre-digital. I'm trying to figure out how to scan them without having all that extra white space around the photo so I can post a couple. I have a better Adobe setup at work than I do here at home so I'll try that. I need to post a few more times so I can get an ad in the parts wanted forum...if I try to sell a non-wagon on here so i can afford to work on the delivery, is that kosher?
Here's the rules for the classifieds...I'm just the messenger http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15163
Thank you Fannie... for the heads-up on the classifies rules. THat answers my question. As a newbie, I'll try to not screw up too much (plenty of time for that later...). If I do, let me know. I finally have downloaded a few photos of the delivery into my home computer. Now, all I have to do is figure out how to attach them (does my technology impairment show too much?). Off to the FAQ in quest of knowledge...
I wouldn't worry to much about your PC skills, it's not like we're all geeks around here...you'll get it.
OK that was interesting... I think I have successfully put 3 photos of my car in a photo gallery under "Ford"...somewhere...if anyone finds them, let me know...it's easy to find, its blue...
