Does anyone have pictures on how to install the back seat for a 1955 210 Chev Wagon. I have lost some parts but I can not remember what they look like.

    Thanks Macs55

I do not know if they are missing until I see a picture. I took apart this car 15 years ago and can not remember how it went back together. I might have the parts in my basement so thats why I would like pictures.

    Thanks Don

Macs55, sorry I haven't replied yet, been a busy weekend.

I'm not sure how far down your car was taken so I will try to include everything.

There is a box welded to the floors where the rear bottom seat cushion mounts. Sometimes these will be removed if floors have been replaced. Here is what they look like.

A hinged bracket bolts to this box and to the back of the bottom seat. Here is the hinged bracket.

Here is how it looks in the car.

The rear seat back cushion has a hinge bracket bracket bolted to the seat and screws to the inner fender.

There is a clip mounted on the inner panel, and the seat back clips into it to keep it from going forward when it is in the up position.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anymore help.

I somehow missed this thread. Rev is right...it would have been nice if Macs55 would have introduced himself before seeking help from our members....but....

KUDOS, big time, to Tabasco for his exemplary pictorial and for reaching out to another car guy in need!(y) This is one of the better and most timely "help" posts that I have seen. Good job, Tabasco!:D You show the true spirit of our wagon family.
