My 89 has ~ 200,000 miles and is in need of a suspension overhaul. I want to upgrade the handling while doing overhaul. Might consider lowering 2" but all bushings, shocks, and links will be replaced as a minimum. Also, larger sway bars will be added. Does anyone have experience & recommendations on parts from other GM lines / years, aftermarket firms, or general recommendations.

The '77-96 B body GM platforms share a lot of the same parts. Most '94-'96 Chevy Impala SS suspension parts and pieces will fit you Buick wagon. What wont fit is the rear sway bar, the wagon rear axle is wider than a sedan rear axle. There are a few after market companies that manufacture rear lower control arms that allow the use of a sedan rear sway bar on a wagon by moving the bar mounting holes forward. Another option would be a Ford Panther platform (Crown vic, Marquis, Town Car) rear sway bar, it literally bolts in on the B body GMs and are much less expensive than the first option.
Option 3: custom bar made specifically for wagons, link:

I was not aware of that. Are you saying that it bolts up to the wider WAGON suspension? I'm also not aware of the "fist" option. With me, it's usually the middle finger option... :biglaugh:

Wouldn't you know this... I upgraded the sway bars(with ADDCO bars) on a 99 Crown Vic and threw away the very bars that I could use on this wagon! Well, they are readily available! :<)
I used ADDCO bars on both the 79 Buick Estate and 86 Olds CC wagons I owned but the way they mount to the control arms bother me a bit and they hang low. This solution looks better.

IMO, if you want that tank to handle like it's on train tracks, you should PM the Stickman for real blood and guts info.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
