Find one from a Suburban and adapt that.

I originally wanted rear A/C in my wagon, but after converting the under hood stuff to a modern Sanden Compressor and new 134A cross flow condenser and all new lines and hardware I found the dash unit was just fine.

What I use is a small 12V clamp on fan. I attach it to the dash and it then pushes the air from my two main center vents into the back of the wagon. The kids usually ask me to turn it off after a little while.

    Here's what it looks like...

I've never done a custom retro installation of dual A/C, but I definitely share your enthusiasm for riding around in ice cold comfort. :thumbs2:

Sounds like you're already moving forward with an underdash unit, but I'll throw this out anyway, consider checking out and retrofitting a dual A/C setup used in an old conversion van or limo. May give you some good ideas and provide some ready made parts.

Good luck, and keep us updated.

i did look around at my local u pick and for what they wanted the underdash turns out to be the cheapest. the hardest part was finding the "t" to cut into the line. being that i already have a monster cooler in the dash the hoses are real short
