Yes, your friend is right. These western cities are huge in area. The "NE" is the area of town North of Central Ave. (old Rt 66) and east of the BNSF tracks that roll through the middle of town north to south. ABQ has four quadrants, NE, NW, SE and SW. If its a local car, it should be clean of rust, as I've seen plenty of 70's mopars here unbelieveably rustfree. The paint burns off cuz of the sun though. Somebody should save this thing from the demo guys, its probably a solid foundation. I wish I had room....

So it sold basically right after I spoke with the owner and was in the middle of arranging for a friend of a friend to check it out for me in person. The story the owner told me was that the car was originally from Seattle and had “a little” rust but that everything worked including the A/C (which still used R12). He bought it from the first owner when he was located in Washington State, he then moved to Las Vegas (hence the A/C) and more recently to Albuquerque and it now has about 136K miles on it. He was complaining about other people low-balling him (on a $1000 car no less) so the rust might have been more of an issue but I’m only speculating at this point.
