Newbie, looking into maybe getting a wagon. My buddy just built a 57 Rambler and it looks great!! And mybrother just inherited a 65 ford. In 1972 my Dad took our family to Yellowstone in a 65 Chevy wagon. Anyway it got me thinking how cool it would be to have a 60's wagon with a little travel trailer. So I am looking!! I am into Harleys and Hot Rods, working on a 37 Chevy truck right now and have a Panhead that need some TLC. Here is the wagon on the way to Yellowstone, that is me in the red shirt!!
abarthd. You came to the right place. Many of us dream station wagons and RV's. Have fun lookin for your dream combination and getting them on the road. I'm sure you've grown up since that picture...........At least physically.
to the wagon train, abar. Cool old pic. wow...looks like you were surrounded by women! Still have that talent today?? Let us know what wagons you like or ask us about them. We talk wagons here.
Well a 60 chevy comes to mind.......can't get much better than that!!! any 65 gm models......pontiacs with the stacked headlights are sexy I have five sisters.......
Welcome abarthd; very nice picture for sure. You should keep an eye out for a '65 Chevy wagon and see if you can replicate your Dad's. How neat would that be!!
abarthd...you my friend are in the right place to have your money spent! You will have your wagon before you know it and maybe an RV to go with...5 sisters...what a lucky guy! My brother has 3 sisters and if I recall he never had to do to much around the house. Cause way back then it was the girl's job to clean the house, cook the meals, do the laundry...oops sorry hope you enjoy the forum!
Well that was sort of the case. BUT. I grew up on a farm so actually the boys worked our asses off. I would have love to have a day cooking and cleaning.
Welcome aboard and spending money isn't even an issue...When it is not mine Unlike most people I have no money problems...I have no money so therefore I have no problem!
Some people have all the luck...I get something for free it usually cost me twice as much in the end than what I could have bought one for
For free?!! Wow, my dad always used to tell me "there's no such thing as a free lunch". Wish he was still alive so I could show him this. Congrats to your brother. The '66 looks to be in fine shape. I would assume it was something of a "strippy" based on the little hubcaps. A wash and a wax and he's got a sharp looking Ford.
You're right SF and look at the chrome on the bumper and grille. Must be an Arizona/California car or was kept in a garage its whole life. Abarthd, do you know the history of this car?
