I am bias to this one as it reminds me of my 80.

Have to love the CRAP pics, NOT!

He is actually asking 1500 for it now (one of the ones I have my eye on when I get paid again)

I consider the '87 to be the best year for these. It has the FI engine, and the 'old style' header panel and grill, which I like better than the rounded version that came out in '88.

Agreed. Coming from a guy with a round nose one. He had an 87 sitting there for 800 bucks with a bad fuel pump, optioned with no luggage rack. I would have taken that one too, I know I can walk away with it for 400 bucks, but I don't have a place to keep it right now.

Does any one know this car?
We sadly lost our mercury by an accident yesterday, just ready after a lot of work. We live in the Netherlands so we cannot take a look ourselves...

By the way, I will tell our accident story in another topic...

Very sorry to hear meulmani....(Read your other thread..)
This could be good one for you. If someone from here doesn't step up, maybe someone who knows the area could get a reference for an inspector........I don't know anyone around there.....

Looks like a great deal, contact the seller and ask for more pictures, perhaps offer to pay to have him/her take it to a local Ford dealer for detailed inspection. I am sure that if you have a motivated seller that they would be accomodating.
    Good Luck :)

I doubt he is willing to get it inspected. I've asked for more info, no replies as of yet

400 bucks??? If shipping to the Netherlands would be free I would not even have to think, I'd bought it straightaway. Because of shipping costs I have to be a bit more critical. Anyway, I sent the seller an email.

At least the wagon is already in Charleston... that might save quite some $$ on transportation.
Make sure about a clean title and a bill of sale (try to get the lowest amount regardless what you really pay: importing taxes for classic cars went from 6% to 20% last Januari :banghead3: )

You're right. I am waiting for information from the seller I need to fill out the form of inspectmyride.com. This one and the blue 1986 cp in Wisconsin are no. 1 and 2 on my list.
