I'm sad...so sorry if this depressing

    Where to start?
Stormin mentioned a wagon he saw on the net...which happened to belong to a freind of mine.

Noel(the owner)and 60 years young, .. spent 4 years ,taking 2 Fairmont wagons and a 2dr car to create his dream car..
...a 2dr Fairmont wagon Pro Street car!

The car was a work of art and Noel was always more than happy to explain all the work he'd done to get to this Beautiful End.

Saturday nite, while driving home from the local cruise spot.
Noel was killed when a 4x4 rear ended him so hard that it managed to fold up the rear section of the car, and flip it into a ditch!

.. then the 4x4 driver took off....
...(mind you..he turned hinself in 12 hours later)

Keep in mind..this car was built to strict NHRA standards for Pro Street!!
2x3 frame, 16 point roll cage!!
The 4x4 must have been doing WARP speed to cause that much damage!!

Anyhow..the 'wagon world' has lost a true wagon fan and his car.

    RIP Noel

How sad, Rev. My condolences and prayers to you and his family. By the appearance of the car, he was truly gifted as a car builder. The car looks like it was done at the factory (except for the big motor and tires) Must have been a great friend, too.

My gosh that is horrible! Very sorry for your loss. You just never know.

People drive like maniacs anymore - its scary to even get out sometimes. The other day I was almost rearended by a new Corvette that was racing a new Dodge Charger. I was going up the highway entry ramp and noticed the two cars had stopped behind me to get side by side.... then I seen smoke coming from the tires of the Corvette.... he was coming at me at over 100 MPH! I had to swerve over to keep him from hitting me in the back! Then he went around and got on the 4-lane highway and the kept slowing way down, getting side by side, then gunning it- then they would weave in and out of traffic. I knew they were going to end up killing someone. Total morons.

The crapiest part of all this is that the guy that did it will get s**t for punishment. Welcome to Canadian law. Protect the guilty/offender right?

I saw him rolling that night too.

    Sad deal. God speed, Noel.

BC got tough with these twits recently, and they are getting tougher here in Manitoba:

The lady was charged and that means a 5 year sentence, and no license for 10 years.

im so sorry Rev, this sort of news is never easy, and always upsetting. his dream car was a beaut, and the man was obviously a creative soul and one who had quite a vision, for his cars, and life in general.

my best wishes are with his family and you as well Rev.

    Back from vacation.
    As well, sorry to hear.

A kid, 17 year old, ran over my friends grandmother who went back to her house to get a bible before church. He was still drunk after a night of partying. Hit her and ran. A few local guys caught him until the cops came.
Didn't get the whole story, as you never do, but his father was a diplomat or someone important and was given community service because going to jail would ruin his whole life.
