Howdy yall!!! My name is Danny and I live in Lewiston Michigan. I have been into old cars (primarily Fords) most of my life. I own and operate an Upholstery shop called Dandrey Customs where I create custom auto interiors. For the last few years I have had to be satisified with working on alot of really cool cars that belonged to other people. But yesterday I became the proud owner of a 1968 Ford Country Squire wagon. It is a 390 C6 car with factory air, power seat, 3.25 locker and 10 passenger option. It looks to have 59K original miles on it but I can't be positive. Being a Michigan car it does have some rust, but for the most part it is a real solid project. At some point in its life someone backed it up too close to a bonfire and really toasted the rear gate. That along with the usual rust has me searching for a new one. The taillights completely melted, but someone already replaced those. I am also looking for the spare tire cover as mine is missing. Well, I guess that is about all for now......
Throw another woody on the fire? Sounds like a pretty cool wagon. Welcome aboard and good luck finding your replacement tailgate. Hopefully some of the Ford guys here will be able to point you in the right direction.
Finally your own cool car. As stated above the Ford fellows will chime in with info to help you out. aboard hope to see you around
