I had Comp TA VR4s on a Mustang, and they were scary crap. Zero wet traction.
Brother had Comp TA HR4s on an '80 Monte, and the were scary crap. Zero wet traction.

Now, in the new generation I had g-Force SuperSport TA as the previous tire on my Mazda, and they were a great tire, other than snow (I have Blizzaks mounted for snows)

A friend had a set of Traction T/As on a Grand Marquis. Fine in the dry, not up to much in the wet. If you still have the factory 14 inch riims, there isn't much that is really good anymore. Better to get a nice set of 15 inch rims, and go to a 205/60R15. The Pirelli P6 is a good one. not cheap, but good. I think Sumitomo makes a pretty great tire in that size too. The Sumos are also inexpensive.

I did go and look at the tires...advertized as 14'' and they were 15", Im glad I learned from "us the forum" that "A" they could have problems in snow/slush" and "B" they may have problems on wet....By the link I posted, you would think they are great:tsk:. I have great winter tires on the car now with hub caps and 2 sets of awesome Olds 14" rims. I just can't justify new rims and tires to go 15"....Sure hope those aren't famous last words:biglaugh:
