As mercedes Fanatic i feel i have to balance the Kharma here a bit with a picture of a mercedes W126 Station wagon. One of a handful built ,most Americans will know the W126 as the 300SD models.
All the other 'coachbuilt' Mercedes wagons I have seen pictures of, you can tell they were not a factory production run - you can see that they started out as sedans. This one looks like a regular factory model.
Nice looking Benz! Do you know which body builder did the conversion? Looks like the rear doors are quite a bit longer than standard. I've seen a couple of W126 wagon conversions and they both had a little flat spot on the tailgate about 4" long just below the backlite. This one looks much better coming straight down.
I dont know too much about it except that is was used for many years as a camera car for a TV station and Movie production company, in Germany. It also has a sunroof in the rear .I have pics somewhere with cameras and stuff mounted on it. Re the body kit, that looks like a modified AMG rear piece and side skirts for the Series 1 W126. prior to Mercedes buying out AMG ,there were only aftermarket body kits and there doznes of different firms making stuff. German laws say that fiberglass was not to used on the front spoilers so real ones are always plastic .
Another really rare one... i had never heard of this before, although Crayford built a lot of wagons for Mercedes before they started making their own.
