I’m watching the nationwide race in las Vegas. some thing came to mind, as I see there some ford mustang and dodge charger running around the nascar track but then there Chevrolet impala and Toyota Camry?
it like did Chevrolet and Toyota not get the memo from nascar about dumping the old front wheel drive stale stupid looking car for some thing of a sports car? where the Camaro? I’m sure Toyota make a 2 door sports car of some type?

I’m now watching the nationwide series because of the mustang and charger, just like the SCCA racing of the late 60’s to the 90’s. just think of all the people that would also watch nationwide because there a Camaro racing in the series? really, how many impala owner watch because there car racing?
as for Toyota, how many Camry owner watch nascar because there car is racing?

I think nascar should tell Chevrolet and Toyota to get off the pot and start being a team player!

    Nascar is boring.
I support local dirt track racing for more entertainment and colorful drivers.
Endurance racing is where it's at.Part demo derby, part short track racing.
Take a stock beater and drive it for two hours around the track, add some demo derby guys, hope the car does not break or get taken out,and you got a race.

All NASTYCAR cars are the same. Only the decals are different.

The engines are the only things that are different, otherwise they're all the same car and have absolutely nothing in common with a street car other than the name.
If you put a Ford, Toyota, Dodge or Chevy body wrap on a pig it's still a pig.:rofl2:

there RACE CARS . not show room racing.

common people, there race car’s. to think any thing else is dumb.
are top fuel funny car stock ?
    are Winston modified stock?
where the SCCA road racing during the late 70’s to 1990’s stock ?
    no there not.
where ever you have top of there series, that design to race at great speed’s and keep the driver alive when they get stupid. there not going to be stock!
so remember to just enjoy the race car's for what they are. fully tube chassy with after market looking sheet metal to help save the driver, when there brain's stop thinking right.

Toyota was not allowed to build a V-8r engine based on their production OHC engine found in the trucks and high end Lexus cars..
The Nascar rules clearly state they had to build a pushrod engine at 355 C.I. and run carburetors
Even though Chevy and Dodge do have production pushrod engines, the Nascar engines are far from stock and nothing interchanges to the production engines.
The rules regarding the engines are so strict, and at the same time hold back today's technology in regards to engines and engine designs..
There is nothing found today in a production car that was influenced from Nascar.
    Boring.
There are a lot of other features and tech found in today's cars that were directly influenced from other racing sanctions.F1,Indy, and WRC just to mention a few.
Some were tested in racing and trickled down into production.
