Wrong Fox. And don't ask me if the name starts with A-B-C before suggesting D-E-F :D

I'll leave home in about 1 hour and will be back 4 or 5 hours later...

:yahoo: You're the one Rob. Except that the 4x4 was only available in 51 and 52.

Oh no.....another one from across the pond.:yikes:
:rofl2:Just kidding, Riv. Actually, most wagons made here in the USA should be fairly easy to recognize. It's the European ones that are more fun to try and guess AND...it's educational. I look up the history on the cars that I don't know. Found some really fun and interesting articles. Even on Renault during their years here with AMC & Chrysler.
    So....post one up, bud.:yup:

OK... tried to read more about that Renault, but my French is too limited.
Now I've seen that model maybe I have to alter my opinion about french cars (a bit).

Next challenge; maybe a bit difficult one for our members on the other side of the Pond, but there are some nice-to-know issues within this one for car nuts. pretty sure Barto will come up quick with an answer.
The make alone means a good answer.
    Good luck.

No Fox (although I can imagine why you think so)

Closer to your home than Italy? That means its not Asian, so I'm guessing DAF, maybe from the late 60's.

Yep, it is a DAF (1971 DAF 55 'Estate') A Dutch car maker famous for their 'vario-matic' transmissions. Those transmissions had no gears but belts in stead. They could drive as fast in R as in D.
Those were quite reliable cars and sold especially here in The Netherlands by ten thousands. Nowadays there aren't much left due to:
some people here in the seventies and eighties organized hilarious races with these cars backing up:
