That Classic Cars of SC is not far from me either. He is pricey though. I believe that he really bought all of those cars for himself, and enjoys seeing them in the lot and the only way he will cut it loose is if you pay what its worth to HIM. He has some neat stuff though.

there is another site that floats around from time to time though, i cant find it, the guy sells alot of stuff to derbiers.. i wish it was in my favs so i could add it to the site. some of you other guys prob check the site all the time, i think one of the conversation cars on his site was a pontiac not too long ago.

I know this is just mean to tempt you like this, but we never said you had to stop at just one wagon. Now that you have the 68 Monaco wagon, how about a 66 Chrysler wagon to park next to it? This one is on Craigslist in Boston.

Hope that don't include Antique and Classic cars too???

There was talk of a National law something like that, but it got defeated and it better stay that way.

Don't count on it, Bill. The G has stuck their nose in just about every phase of our life and cars won't be any different. They are hell bent on cleaning the streets of all old cars and won't be happy until we are forced to buy and drive what they want us to buy and drive.

Well they'll see one hell of a fight. I believe that is what happened last time after they got a little crazy after the Clunker Bill. There was a quick fight back and it got quickly defeated. Many people don't realize the great impact the Antique and Classic car industry has on our economy. It relates to dozens and dozens of different businesses nation wide. They also need to realize that it is also a great hobby with a use-able knowledge connected to it to boot. Keeps many youngun's out of trouble and teaches many a trade that the can continue on with.

Personally, I would take the fight to the limits. I have about 85 Antique Chevy parts cars in my yard.

The problems with most G fights are..........people don't hear about the laws until it's too late, don't know how to fight it or don't have the money or skills to gather enough people, generally bitch about it and DO nothing. The G has been winning and, sadly, I don't see it changin.

Hi Dano, If you are still looking I have a 67 Polara wagon daily driver when my son is home from school as he uses my 89 custom cruiser. I'm out on the south fork of LI.

Does anyone know of a good database of wrecking yards? Especially pick 'n' pull type? Around here, with liability laws and other such things, it's getting harder and harder to find yards that will let you go in and wander. So many of them are either inventorying the critical stuff and scrapping the rest, or making more money by selling online I guess. There are 4 in town here but it's counter service only. Where's the fun in that? I've found one at the next town over that has a well organized yard to nose around in, but apart from a well picked over '91 Roadie Estate and a few early 90's Caprice Interceptors there's not much left to scrounge. I'd love to find a good list of places that are known to let you go take a look yourself.
