Well a pal i know has been thrashing on a top secret project for a while... It's his 2nd time going alllll the way down from here in BC, Canada...to the Detroit Autorama!! and competing for the World Famous "Riddler Award"... ...(yano...the one that Foose keeps winning) well guess what...they pick The"TOP 8" to compete for the award...much good news...not only is he in the TOP8...but the secrets a....WAGON !!!! Not only that...but 3 of the TOP8 are wagons...check it out kids!! http://www.hotrodhotline.com/feature/2008show/08great8/
Rev, thats awesome! I wish him luck on getting the riddler award. Let me know if you find some higher resolution pics of the wagons.
wwwoooooooooowwwwww......... That must be your buddy's '55 Chrysler. I'm VERY impressed. That get's my vote. It's the most unique out of all 8. The rest you've basically seen before in one manner or another. Did he use the back part of a Magnum roof, or is that a stock roof just slant / chopped a bit? He start with a 2-door HT, or is it a modified wagon?
I wish I could answer your questions...but like I said...it was Top Secret!!! I'll be talkin to him in a few weeks
Holy smokin' Mustard! Is that "New Yeller!" or what!!! Is he still running the stock Hemi? That's nice! I like the way he did the wheel wells inside, and the floor. Sharp!
well...apparently the Nash wagon won the Riddler Award ... but JF still gets much props for showing them what a guy from a lil Canadian town can do!!..his other car came in second last year also !
Sorry, Rev. Your friend's wagon is top-notch for sure. A buddy sent me a link on the winner...as a work in progress. http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2007/10/ferrambo-60-rambler-wagon-with-ferrari.html
Truuu that my pal 3 wagons in the TOP8...thats a landmark all by itself!!! ...(secret handshake)...........
I know that most people think that anything other than a win is a loss but all eight should know that being the 8 finalists is quite an accomplishment. I think it's noteworthy that wagons are now thought of this highly. Great job.
