    He was a good actor. I seen him in a couple of movies he just didn't fit in his younger days and really came into his own in comedy.

    His brother was a Federal member of Parliament for the Northwest or Yukon territories. Fiesty old bugger too.

    My wife loves the guy. She was shocked. His humor was popular in Mexico too. :thumbs2:

    I seem to remember hearing his name when he was cast in Airplane! (before the movie came out). and everybody was scratching their heads - Leslie Nielsen doing comedy - ?????

    I remember seeing him in one of those old Sci-fi movies, Forbidden Planet I think. Also in a MASH epsiode. was weird after all the later comedies.

    I liked him in "Police Squad". It was a very short TV series (or at least was supposed to be a TV series) with the OJ. Can't forget the Naked Gun trilogy.

    He really was a funny man to watch. Great timing and deliever. I really like John Candy too. Another great Canadian actor gone but not forgotten :)
