Welcome. Where abouts in Brisbane are you from? Got any pictures of the car? Hopefully might spot it around when I am in brissy
Is it an inline 6 or a V8? If its an I6, you aussies have the best performance swaps for them. Check this site out. They have produced an aluminum Aussie-type head for the north american I6: http://www.classicinlines.com/home.asp And their FordSix forum: http://www.fordsix.com/ When you get it, set up a project thread in here, and take lots of pics. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=32 You might find this Aussie site interesting too: http://falconccwa.stormloader.com/history.htm I really like this project: http://falconccwa.stormloader.com/feat.htm

Welcome aboard. Kind of curious that while you have Falcon wagons in Australia, that you bought one in the US to ship halfway around the world. I'm thinking you really like Falcons but specifically wanted a two door wagon, or you like the slightly longer bodies on the US Falcon wagons with the longer rear overhang. Would I be correct if I guessed that this isn't your only Falcon?
Put a turbo in it and call the Stealth! The old falcons have more room under the hood for a proper Turbo setup. This Maverick I6 for instance: http://s224.photobucket.com/albums/dd156/JOEGYVER/ Good tips on a Turbo upgrade, even if it is a Slant Six: http://www.allpar.com/fix/holler/slant-six-turbo.html
I grew up around there. Strathpine and Morayfield to be exact. I still get up there and should be up there in my wagon soon to get the paint and body work done
