Ibought my first car in 89 as a senior in hgh school. I wanted an old ford and fell inlove with a 63 1/2 galaxie. It wasn't an XL, but she did have a 390. I had her repainted and drove it for 2 years when I got the go fast bug. i traded her for a 65 fairlane out of Arizona and wedged a Cleveland into that one. I hydroplaned it off the road a few years later and sold it a few after that after my first daughter. I have always wanted a wagon and after searching for about 8 months for just the right one, found this one... She'll be redone, but I am ejoying her like as she is... Passers-by like her just as much and my girls feel like they are in a parade all the time. In fact, my dad and I got flashed by some college girls on our way to a ford meet this November... Ship me a surf board....
Welcome! I like what you have in mind for it. the 4-speed/console deal will be nice. And tri-power or some other interesting induction is something banging around in my head, too. In junior high, my brother's high school buddy had a 63 1/2 that they built, ran great until a valve keeper let go...390 grenaded. But for a big car, it could go. Not to hijack the thread, but hope to meet Krash at the Beachcruisers thingy...I'm going Saturday.
Help.... Hi ! A very nice car , love her I just started my "new" project, also a ´63 Country Squire in very good condition (from Arizona). Only bad thing, I miss some parts - the most important are the tailgate hinges (lower) ....can anyone help ?????? Maybe you have a pair that you don´t need or a good adress were I possibly can get them ??? Thank you and best regards from Germany, Andy
, Nice ride, I'm not a mag guy but your look great on there. I like your plans for Ford era corrct buckets/console, sounds like nice plans for the motor also. Have fun with it
