A very unique wagon. Bet you'll never see another.

I've seen a few of those. Back in 67 or 68 there was plans for it in Popular Mechanics Magazine.

Kinda cool. That would be to easy for Stormin'.

Very nice! Put a 356 B Porsche engine in there, and you'd have the go-power too! :)

I bought a VW a couple of years ago for $800. No rust and drivable. The absolutely most miserable car I ever owned. Even the Vega was better. :biglaugh: What a piece of crap.

That car broke me of wanting a VW. I had alway wanted one. The seats were like sitting on a stump. I'm only six foot tall but I had to duck to see out the drivers door window. The car required constant stirring of the shifter in order to be in the right gear/rpm for driving around town. The best thing about the car was many folks want them.

I had it for 15 months and sold it for $1,600. Sukka!

Well I drove her $500 beatle for a while, and decided it was totally acceptable, it just needed more power (easy to do.) I was trying to help her sell it, but to no avail. She eventually gave (donated?) it to a needy family with no car (a far better use of it, IMHO.) I'm 6'1" and nearly 300lbs, and found it comfortable. Maybe it was a super beatle, i dunno.

It must have been the 73 seats which were a one year only thing. I know now why. It went to a young lady that fit it just fine. She and her dad were going to restore it. I'm sure it got a more powerful engine.

    This is it.
