Hello- Long-time station wagon fan here. I've been driving Opels since 1980, starting with a 1968 Kadett Caravan. These days my daily summer driver is a much newer 1969 Kadett Caravan. My wife drives a 2019 Buick Regal TourX, which is basically an Opel Insignia Sports Tourer that was shipped to the U.S. from Germany with Buick stickers on it..... -Kurt
Welcome to the forum! Always cool to see different stuff here, including wagons from across the pond. Was your wife's Regal by accident, or was it because it's an Opel too? Cheers.
I looked it over since it was an Opel, but we only bought it after being thoroughly impressed. It's been a great car so far. Turbo 2.0 liter w/ all-wheel drive makes it fun and practical. Too bad Buick only sells SUVs now. -Kurt
Welcome from the Pacific Northwest!! i remember driving my dads cool lime green Manta when i was 16...one of my high school friends had the same wagon as yours in baby blue...
Welcome aboard. Looks like you have some neat cars there. I like the old/new comparison. Even if the new one says Buick on it.
I had an Opel wagon back in '78 that I paid $40 for! Not sure what year it was, maybe a '68. It had a blown engine and I never did get around to completing the repairs. After I graduated from Clemson, South Carolina, I just left in the driveway of the house I was renting. Never did find out what the landlord did with it.
Btw, I always admired the Regal Tour X's. Thought, and for that matter still think, they are a very hot looking wagon.
