On Thursday March 28th 1957 my Packard Clipper Country Sedan (station wagon) rolled out of the factory door in South Bend Indiana. I’m working on a new interior and hopefully later this summer, a new paint job!
So what is considered the actual moment a car is born? Some hardliners would say it’s at the moment of conception still in blueprint form or, Would it be the first time fuel can be detected in the cylinder? Some might even say a car is not fully a car until the day it’s rolled into daylight given that final slap on the rear quarter panel and sent out into the world.
