Just love that combo with woodgrain and yellow. It´s like poetry. Wonder how it would look like after being shipped to Sweden after a two month journey on the stormy sea. This car is the answer in my opinion why wagons are so darn cool. Thanx for posting, you made my day.:yup:

Bummer when you have to find things out the hard way.

He does have 3 rolls of wood though, almost wish I had a ebay account!

Yeah, it's got to be the same car, especially when you look at the dealer emblem on the tailgate. He did change the wheelcovers, though, am I right? I'm thinking it originally had the standard ones on there, but now there seems to be the deluxe ones. Bidding's at $4550. 442, didn't you think the previous owner would let it go for under $2K? Do you know what he wound up paying for it?
I guess we can't begrudge him the profit. All's fair in love, war and retail they say.

That's definately what I call an honest car. Can't say the same for the seller. It IS his car and he can do with it what he wants. But it would have been nice if the old guy that owned it would have been informed about eBay so he could have reaped the profit for his many years of loving care for that beauty.

I have withdrawn my posts from this thread. I'm not interested in "internet drama", and apologize if I misspoke in any way. This is what I hate about the internet...:bsod:

I stand by what I have ALWAYS said that this is a beautiful car....

    END OF COMMENTS!!!

Hold on a second. The ebay wagon has turn signal indicators in the lower front fender. The wagon 442 posted pics of in the other thread does not.

Kevin; excellent spotting. You're absolutely right. Can this be a different Squire? I guess it has to be.

I also noted in addition to the deluxe wheel covers, the one for sale has that rear air deflector and the one in Vermont did not. (Of course, I guess one could always install that.) The same holds true for the mud flaps on the ebay wagon. Also, 442 had mentioned he thought the one in Vermont had power windows but the one for sale has crank windows. One more thing--the one for sale has a remote rh mirror and from the original picture of the Vermont one, I don't think that has a rh mirror at all. 442, what was the mileage on the Vermont Squire. The one for sale has 69476.
Sheesh, do you think we can disect the two any further?!!

OK....so I guess it's not the same car. Frankly, I'm glad to hear that.

He probably added them, as he did the roof rack air deflector. Trust me - it's that same car... He just sent me an email about it...

    Some background information:

A few weeks ago, I got run through the mill (totally unrelated to this car) by someone who saw my car on this forum. It created a very stressful situation, and basically I wasted a lot of my time for nothing. It left me with a bitter taste in my mouth about dealing with people online, and now I am overly suspicious of "scammers" and "players". I hate being played...

When I saw this Squire posted, it surprised me because the buyer had told me that he was buying it for himself - not to resell. Then when I saw his other ebay listings, I jumped to the conclusion that this is his business. Whether it is or not I have no way to confirm, but the truth is that it's none of my concern. It's not my place (or anyone elses online) to judge a seller or make assumptions. Life changes, and things come up (just as they have for me recently), and sometimes you plan to keep something and then can't.

Whatever the sellers circumstances (any seller for that matter), it is prudent to be respectful of others online and not judge or criticize. Too much has been said already, and I don't want to impede someone elses sale with my opinions any more than I would want someone to do that to me.

Bottom line - this Squire is a great car (I know because I've seen it first hand), and that's all that needs to be said. I apologize for stepping on anyone's toes about this sale - whatever the circumstances...

Well, 442....I thank you for the explanation and for not making judgements. OTOH, it is very interesting to see that same car pop up again under these circumstances. Since the buyer of the car is, indeed, a long time seller of cars on eBay I think it's perfectly natural for people to assume whatever they wish. Your storyline could be true that he had to sell the car or it could be true that he bought it from the old guy to resell it at a profit. Personally, I have no problem forming my own opinion on the subject and you, or I, should not have to apologize for whatever opinion we may have. I found your post very pertinent. The discovery that this eBay car is the same one you found is of great interest to us wagon guys. Whatever we assume from that point is just that...assumption. One that is ours to make, as we all do, everyday. And you are right....that is one nice wagon. Again....I wish the old guy could have enjoyed the profit after he spent years taking care of the wagon.
    EDIT:
It is interesting to note that this same seller is the seller of the Dodge Diplomat that I recently posted here on the forum.

Well whatever. Seems like he went through a lot of trouble to add a bunch of little stuff that doesn't really increase the overall value of the car. With the glaring exception of those ultra fancy WHITE mudflaps. I guess if you are rich you can afford luxuries such as white mudflaps. The rest of us slobs have to go through life with boring black mudflaps.
