Can anyone help with Paint color info??

Hey y'all! Does anyone know how I can find out what the original colors for the '72 Chevelle Concours were?? I've looked on the internet, but can't really find what I'm looking for...

If anyone has any suggestions, that'd be awesome! Thanks!

You can find your paint code on the drivers side cowl. Hope this helps.

 

Thanks, Behemoth! This does help! We'll most likely change the color from the original blue is it now, but we'd like to stay with a color that was original to those cars.

As I understand....you are NOT going to paint the car in the original color. IF you were and/or IF you wanted to order a match from paintscratch or other paint places you would need the following for quality paint matching companies ...
The paint code is good but they also require the RPO number and the VIN. Give them these and your match will be astounding.

My husband and I are so excited about newly aquired "land Yacht", after we bought it, we realized that we can now be part of a "group"!! hehe! If that doesn't tell you how goofy we are, I don't know what will!

We started out as Chevelle nuts, now we are wagon nuts too!

"Tupperware car"...perfectly said! Yep, cars nowadays can't even come close to the classics..they just don't make like that anymore, like everything else...it's sad, really. I am 42, and VERY nostalgic, my friends make fun of me, that I live in the 70's...but I have such awesome memories of those days..I feel very blessed to have been a kid when I was...and the cars are huge part of my memories! We had a '65 Oldsmobile, a '74 Torino, a '75 LTD..and I remember clearly, our neighbors '65 Mustang and station wagon..green with wood paneling. Not sure of the make or year, but a good guess is probably around a '73..most likely a Ford or Chevy. Sorry to ramble, I got caught in a memory...

 

It sounds like you had a very idyllic childhood, very similar to mine in Los Angeles in the 50's and 60's (I'm 58). Your parents probably deserve a lot of credit for not allowing outside influences to affect the serenity of your environment. Some of your contemporaries arn't as fortunate......
