I was snooping around for a picture of a Dusenburg or an Auburn, yesterday, and noticed that this car had a flip-down tray behind the front seat:

Then it got me to thinking that the third seat could be set up to remain partially up to make a great Drive-in movie lounger. ;)

Ah much like my 3rd seat which faces rearward but it's only big enough fo0r one adult or 2 children.

See, now you can revive the honeymoon! :biglaugh:

Actually, I was thinking more like the 1960's Pontiac 3rd seat, facing forward, and just set up a swing-down leg/bar to give it a tilt. One option might be side and rear curtains, a small fan to get rid of the fogged up window mist, and a bumper sticker that says, "If it's rockin', don't come a knockin'!" ;)

You might want to add some type of anti squeak in the wood slats when you build the woodie. :rofl2:

I know what you mean. Who needs slivers at a moment like that! :rofl2:

Reminds me of a true college story. I was in Industrial Engineering in my second year, near Christmas Exams. I was VP of the Student Association, and our class and the more senior years, would be allowed to take a classroom to study all night all by ourselves.

Well, this 3rd year casanova was romancing the girlfriend on the carpetted floor (nice classrooms), when one of his buddies came in to borrow some notes. The guy couldn't get up without pain. It turns out he'd burned his knees on the carpet! At the June graduation, his classmates had a bachelor party, and I was invited. The girlfriend lived near my house, so the guys asked me to bring her along because they were going to make a special presentation to them both. We get there and they have this nice wedding cake (he hadn't proposed, but was planning to) and they were all sauced up, and out comes a CASE of a Gross (144 tubes) of Ozonol to treat the carpet burns! They apparently did it again and both burned their knees during the run-up to final exams! :rofl2:  :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

You think a nice thick coat of plastic varathane (clear of course to let the warm glow of the finely finished ash floor -good ash is hard to find.) would take care of the sliver issue? It might be hard to get traction though, unless I leave the tailgate up!;)

T'was the day before Christmas, when all through the Forum
The guys were just waggin to deal with their boredom
When all of a sudden, I got a bad Whack
It seems like the Wife suddenly got back!

Though the side of my head was swelling and blue
I was laughing my a$$ off at the lines that we drew
And she quizzed and nagged me but I kept my trap closed
Except to say 'Hi Dear' and continued to joke.

Why spoil Christmas Eve with an smack and a half
When a smile and some laughter are far better staffs
To share it with fun and some friends from afar
Who do magical things in their lives and their car?

How's that RK, have we recovered our rep? You inspired my prose! :)

I've been good with the fruitcake. Had to, the wife put it in the deep freeze yesterday, after it soaked in all the flavours (matured). Just one eggnog, too. Glad you liked it. I have my moments. :)

Now RK and I have only hi-jacked a couple today, but man we did it with style! ;)
