Hey guys, Who's the wheel yanker you're referring to? I'm happy to be welcomed into this forum with such "Open Arms" by everyone. I hope all of you are having a nice holliday by the way. I am somewhat of an Atheist myself. I celebrate Christmas for a few reasons not really in my hands. My family is Catholic, I was born and raised Catholic. However, as soon as I was old enough to think for myself, I Came to my own beliefs.

That said, lets talk cars, and pets.

So, tell me, who has what for pets? As I told you all already, Josie Leigh is my 2 year old, pregnant, Miniature Dacshund/ Dog-ter. I bred her on November 19th with another minature Dacshund, and a Jack Russell the day before. Unfortunately, I don't know which one actually worked. I bred her with the Russell, because I didn't know anyone with another Mini Dacshund. Wouldn't you know it, but later that evening, I met a girl who has both a female, and a one year old, un-fixed male. So, the next day, her and I "got together", and her male and my female "got together". It was cute..

Anyways, I hope the Dacshund is the one that worked. I've been told that I may actually end up with two different type of puppies. Some of them, Pure Mini Dacshund, and few of them mixed breeds...I don't know exactly how that all works, so in mid January, we'll all find out what kind of pups we end up with.

I'm interested in everyones pets. My family has had every kind of Reptile imaginable. Currently my brother has a huge collection of Snakes, Lizards, and Turtles. When I was on the road, as a truck driver/company owner, I would catch and bring home all kinds of stuff, all over the country. He's got Alligators, Snapping turtles, and an Alligator Snapper also, besides all of the snakes and Lizards. He is somewhat of a Herpetologist, and he's a full time high school science teacher.

I have an older brother, a younger brother, and a really younger sister. I grew up, in Connecticut, but moved to a small town called Prospect Hill, North Carolina, back in September. I work for the Government, and also do Government Contract work. I used to own a Major trucking company, and a recycling company as well. They are both gone now, but I do some part time work, helping a friend who owns a small trucking company, pretty much strictly on an advisory level, and help make sales etc.

Enough about me for now, I feel like I'm bragging or something..Kinda awkward, and not at all my intention. Just trying to help you all get to know me a little better, as person.

Anyways...Do we have a pets thread yet..?

    Nick

You just started it, the Pet Thread! :)

You hijacked your own thread! RK, we have a candidate for the Mouse-K-Tier clan! :D :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

Anyway, I have no pets, except the odd peeve. Used to raise dogs for hunting, so I know how to talk them down from attacking and feeding them raw meat (run like hell! )

If they didn't chase me down, my dad would have me give them raw meat to eat. That was back in the 50's. :)

    Oh Ok,
Guess I never heard anyone use that term for it before..Was a bit confused about what you meant. Those pics will be up as soon as I get a chance to get them developed and scan them. I have to make a run to get a bunch of film developed, and then get them scanned...I think Walmart can put them onto a Disc for me or something..Or am I mistaken?

I swear I love this forum already.

This is great, you guys have some really awesome wagons. I look at pics of your cars, in extreme admiration. They are really beautiful and really cool cars. Some of my buddies have been breaking my stones for years, especially back in my younger days.

I was one of the original "Plaza rats" in my area. (You know? The group of young people who hang around a local shopping center parking lot all night long whenever weather permitted) I had my first car, 1978 Nova, when I was only 12 years old, I bought the car with my own money, and ripped out the straight six, and put in a built small block 355 Chevy(350 bored over .030).
Though it was a home project, I was WAY too young to actually drive it yet. They knew what I had at home, they were there in their Chevelles, Camaros, and Monte Carlos, and I was a lot younger than them, and on a Bicycle. Those people taught me a lot about cars and life in general, and they sort of "adopted me as their automotive protege".

Later, I bought the first Yenko Nova, and started showing up with my cars, unlicensed, un-registered, un-insured,, but two miles from the house anyways. The cops knew I was un-licensed, but liked my cars and told me just not to drive wrecklessly on the street, and they wouldn't bother me..

At first, when I showed up with the 74 Chevy wagon, I was teased, to no end. As the wagons progressed, and I was always in a wagon, as a daily driver, to keep the "Good cars" off the street, they would break my balls more and more about it. If they only knew how nice the cars are to drive. Most of them would not admit it, but a few told me they were pretty impressed with the cars. Especially with the Big Block Merlin powered 88 Custom Cruiser, but that wasn't until later when I was atleast 16-17.

Some called it a waste of an awesome set-up. With the Merlin Big Block Chevy, in an Oldsmobile, Grandpa station wagon.

Some of them on the other hand, decided to pretend they were not looking at a wagon, and concentrated on the noise and smoke shows. It was still, pretty hard to win them over. Don't forget, these guys had Muscle cars, from the late 60's-early 70's. They knew I had the two Novas at home and wondered why I was out in the wagon, no matter how cool they were, sometimes some of them would say to me "Hey Riz, go get one of your Novas, this kid over here, wants to see a REAL car..!!!". I used to get that all the time when I was out in one of the wagons...I never could figure out why...?

I let some of them drive it, and they never bothered me again about it. I just wish they were ALL willing to drive it atleast once, because that was the key to winning them all over on the matter.

Watch it Nick, one of the Big 3 automakers will grab you in a New York Minute and put you in charge of architecting their next ads for CUVs or Gawd Forbid, a Stationwagon Revival! I was a Software Evangelist and VP for a couple of Software companies, years ago. I still don't know if it was for my belief in the products or my engineering skills. :rofl2:

Anyway for the extra 130 lbs of weight in my Fairmont Squire, I can haul, travel, sleep horizontal, park backwards at a Drive In movie and watch it laying down! That's all it is between a 2-door coupe Sedan and my Squire. My dad had that much wieght advantage over me, all by himself! And a sound system can go in, as big as I want it, with a whole lot more options for speaker layouts than the musclecars could ever hope for! :yippee:
