We've all got different weather issues with our cars and restoration or maintenance. If we've got ideas about working around them or delaying the inevitable (rust, dried out rubber, roller painting, etc.) then having a popup link (Responder's and Poster's Weather) might help to diagnose and recommend something. One that I think is free to cross-link is Wunderground and fairly free of ads, etc. http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=IMBWINNI20 It's not reporting though: I'm about 3 miles south of that one, and I watch it because our really nasty weather comes in from the North West via Alaska/Alberta/North West Territories (NWT). This one is about 2 miles south and picking up the downtown weather (about 4 degrees warmer and not as windy) http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=IMBWINNI12 It also has a PWS link (Temperature, humidity and wind speed) to add to a website, but that may not be a solution, since it would only display the weather from the Server location.
I saw an addon for this forum software for the weather, but its no longer being maintained and is not compatible. If another version is released, Ill see about adding it.
That's too bad. I use Accuweather to track the weather from Fargo, North Dakota and Helena, Montana (predominant Southern warm air currents - AKA Wishful Thinking) and Monterrey, MX (my wife's family), Guadalajara, MX (some good friends and the original owners of the Fairmont). Five Cities at a time. Maybe some Menu popup to a site like that? http://www.accuweather.com/canada-w...ner=accuweather&traveler=0&postalcode=R2C 0A1
Norm, maybe you can add the link to your signature? I dont know of a way to display the weather for each member's location, as a lot of members have left their location blank.
I never thought of that! Brilliant! I'll give it a try. I wonder if that FRAPPR map has a weather feature...
Hey, hey! Mikey likes it! If we get a few more doing that, especially where you're doing stuff that affects the finish, then we can grasp the weather issues anyone might be facing.
