OK. this hasn't been done for a couple of months, so I'll ask the question: If you won the lottery and could buy and restore any station wagon ever built, which ONE would you choose?

Maybe the Jaguar XK-E wagon/hearse from Harold and Maude?

    ME? maybe a 55-57 Buick.

Or maybe a rare '60 Pontiac.

Nope. I'd have to have a PACKARD, Americas Rolls Royce.

    Yep, thats MY lottery winner.

Wait, maybe a resto modded '68 Cutlass Vista Cruiser.
With modern disc brakes and suspension, and a Northstar V8.
Crap. I said ONE wagon, and I broke my own rule already.
And I haven't even gotten to the Pontiac Trans Am wagon, or any of the fine Ford specials, or the DeSoto......
    Whats your dream wagon?

Steve can you imagine how many GTO wagons would have sold if they built them?

I'd build my own wagon with features from a lot of the best aspects of North American vehicles, from mid-40's Hudsons to early 1980's Turbos, probably a base Ford wagon frame. I like my comfort features and reliability.

Yeah, something like a long-nosed Cord, with spares mounted on the running boards. A nice removable soft-top to be replaced with the regular roof during the winter. Leather upholstery with Hudon-style interior wood panels on the door panels (piano-finished maple), and either a Turbo Ford I4 or an Australian-built steam engine (done since 1968 for Ford Falcons), instant Total HP from the first revolution, and no transmission, just reverse the steam. Less than 5% of current emissions too.

It would be a toss up of a Goat like that, or a 70 LS6 454 SS like this one.

Then again, who wouldn't one one of these?
