350-Powered 1954 Plymouth Suburban Station Wagon for sale on BaT Auctions - ending December 6 (Lot #129,840) | Bring a Trailer
Gorgeous car. They had me until I saw under the hood and seeing a Chevy motor in anything but a Chevy still just irks and bothers me, even if I understand why people do it. And no seat belts. Big yikes. But it sure is an absolutely gorgeous car, love those vintage black plates too.
Yeah, that bummed me out, also. If it had to be an eight, then a Poly or Hemi would have been closest to being period- and brand correct
Maybe I spend too much time on the Motortrend channel, but imagine there is still a supply of slant 6s in rusted out 60s - 70s Darts and Valiants that could be made to run.
Easiest mod in my opinion, would have been to put a little Chrysler Corp 318 V8 under the hood. They're probably even cheaper than a Chevy 350.
